The 4th Annual Girls in Jazz Day creating a safe space for Calgary and area girls, women, and non-binary folx to explore jazz ensembles, improvisation, and instrument specifics.

This year’s special guests include drummer, educator Colleen Clark, clarinetist Virginia MacDonald, and trombonist, educator Audrey OChoa, an to round the roster of talent.

Following the Girls in Jazz Day regular events, a Gala Concert will be presented by the GIJ Honour band, Calgary Women’s Jazz Collective, and special guests, at Studio Bell at the National Music Centre at 7pm (Time TBA, check with www.girlsinjazz.ca)
